Novatech Dumon™ BB Pediatric Stent

Dumon™ BB Pediatric Stent

The Novatech Dumon™ Tracheal Stent is a pediatric tracheal stent used successfully worldwide to treat tracheal stenoses caused by cardiopathy or tracheal malacia.  The stents are made from implant-grade silicone suitable for long-term placement and feature an exclusive surface treatment to ensure non-adherence.  The material is flexible enough to allow for atraumatic insertion and placement, yet will seek its original shape following placement, providing the force necessary to correct extrinsic compression of the trachea.  The stent features two rows of studs to aid in preventing migration by naturally fixing the stent between the cartilaginous rings of the trachea.  This unique stud design also allows passage of a fully open, non-compressed stent through the vocal cords when necessary.
